Is there a site that lists most/all types of microlight available including a picture and with a brief description including any pros and cons of the particular type?
Just think this would be more helpful than just typing 'microlights' into Google images.

Cheers G

PS Should be starting my lessons within the next couple of weeks:grin:

I know this doesn't help, but www.microlight.org.uk used to have a list but the website seems to have disappeared?..... odd

There is a book that is available in most languages that comes out every year showing microlights from all around the world. It is a good reference book, but only a few of the microlights in it are legal in the UK, and you would only upset yourself if you see the hundreds of others that foreigners can legally fly.

When I get back to my computer I will have a look to see if I still have a link to a website page that lists loads of different types. Wouldn't be certain how up to date it is or how accurate but it has pictures and brief details...,

Try this, it only covers fixed wing that are micro/group A, but may give you some ideas.

Very nice.
Love some of the concept ones, but I guess they are the designers dreams, pretty much like mine with regards to owning one

If you're talking about UK flying, in addition to the LAA list mentioned earlier, there's also these lists from the BMAA.
http://www.bmaa.org/pwpcontrol.php?pwpID=3924
Note that they are CAA documents.

They only list regulated microlights, there are also SSDR types (lightweight single-seaters) and footlaunched (alias powered hang gliders and paramotors).

PS. As to pros and cons, most types have associated forums or discussion groups - eg
http://forums.bmaa.org/default.aspx?c=6 or
