If anyone posts 2 photos only 1 will make it into the actual competition.

First three places will have their photos published in Max's new magazine. Anyone not wanting to support the magazine with their photo should make it clear with their posted picture.

I agree. Lovely photo, Hayl. You and Jase must have been frozen, though.

Cheers both, it was worth facing the bitter cold for the stunning views on this flight - I nearly lost my nose and a couple of toes :) It was -6 on the ground at the airfield, brrrr!

No cold to suffer, but quite chuffed with the picture. En route from Noumea to Ile des Pins.

In the overhead at Honington at around 3500' with a very pronounced inversion layer - only had a cameraphone on me but it was so lovely I tried to capture it anyway...

Are living in Noumea? My God that is a blast from the past. I got caught up in a revoltionary anti Colonial riot there in the late 70's / early 80's. Beautiful, beautiful place but extraordinarily expensive I seem to recall. Quite a bit of trouble around Sopac in those days - anti French in Noumea & Tahiti and some pretty dangerous moments in and around Rabaul. It always felt a bit edgy there for some reason.

It still is (both)

Not any longer, the Accord de Nouméa soothed a lot of grievances and they're en route (slowly) towards independance.
