  1. Back up there again.

Got the Permit done last Monday. The Quantum flew like a dream. Take off was 600-700 fpm at 6,400rpm. She cruised at 5,400 rpm @55-60 mph. Cut through the Thermals and was very comfortable. Feels like a Quantum leap from my old Pegasus XL 462. Looking forward to a summer in the Sky once more.

  4. Getting back up there again

Last Summer was one of the Worst of my Flying years so far. Family, Home, Work, Weather and Technical Issues conspired against me. I logged just 8 hours in 2014 and flew for just 3 days. 5. A dream come true.

Now I can close my Blog. I flew my Pegasus XL-R 462 at long long last last Friday the 17th of September. I never did get to fly her home from Letterkenny Solo last March. The road turned out to be longer than I had planned and was full of hairpin bends, potholes and oil. But I got there in the end. Last Friday I got away from work at 3pm after a tough week and met Michael Carter at the airfield. Michael flys a Quantum 912, and we both helped each other to rig our aircraft. In just over an hour they ...
