    Flight of Hope

Kernan Valley Flying Club are embarking on a Sponsored flight around Ireland and this request is to ask Fellow Aviators to support this Sponsored flight..... Even 1.00 would help but if you want to donate more so much the better.

Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.

We've joined together so you can raise money for the charity of your choice. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal.

Kernan Valley Flying Club intend to embark on a sponsored flight around Ireland in aid of the Brain Tumour Charity, Marie Curie and the Irish Cancer Society. Latest figures reveal that 1 in 2 of the population in UK and Ireland will have this devastating disease, so now is the time to dig deep into our hearts and pockets in order that vital research may continue and we can beat this disease giving hope to future generations.

This Flight of Hope will take place, weather permitting, from our airfield at Tandragee on the Easter weekend 3rd to the 6th April and will consist of 7 aircraft and crew with hopefully lots of other aircraft taking part as we fly around Ireland.

Our journey of almost 1000 miles will start at Newcastle Co Down and then follow the coast clockwise round Ireland. We'll will stop at as many airfields along the way as possible to accept donations and raise awareness of the increase in cancer in UK and Ireland. So if you see an aircraft overhead think DONATE!

    So how can you DONATE?

Donations can be made through justgiving directly (see below) or via our Facebook page or website where you will find links to make the donation process even easier.

If you live in the UK you can also text:

KVFC56 on 70070 with the amount you wish to donate for the Brain Tumour Charity.

KVFC58 on 70070 for Marie Curie. Don't forget to tick the gift aid box to maximise your donation.

Together we can make a difference.

Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.

Hi there, it would be much better if you took the time to register as a user on the forum and post your message in the main area of the board.
Then the forum members would have a better idea of who was asking for their money ....
The three most useless things in aviation:
    • The air above you.
    • The runway behind you.
    • The fuel in the bowser.

Rule #1: Always tie your aircraft to the largest heaviest object available. The planet Earth meets these requirements and is readily available in all locations.
Rule #2: The great thing about twin engined aircraft is, if one engine fails, the other engine always has just enough power to get you to the scene of the crash.

Semper specto in clara parte vitae.

We haven't got a banned member in Northern Ireland.

One in Cambridgeshire, and one in Scotland... that's it!
