Have a landline but wont answer it as I just get call for PPI etc. Occasionally use it for an outgoing call but normally just use mobile or facebook message calls to family and friends who live abroad. My kids have a landline as it comes with broadband package but neither know their number or have a phone plugged in.

Voted yes because I will definitely have a UK landline in the future with my GPO 1953 strowger-dial telephone - but no point at the moment.

Yes for me. Free calls with Broadband provider so costs nothing to call family. Only really used to call family and friends. My number is Ex-directory so when I occasionally do get calls from Marketing depts. in companies I just hang up straight away.

Antoni, the days of Strowger exchanges were numbered in the 1960's when I worked on them. They're all long gone now so I presume that unless you get a phone to produce Bell tones from impulses, I'd sell your phone to the nearest antique dealer!
