    Quik Wing strip

Are they mandatory? How often ? Who does them? How much can I expect to pay?

Depends on where you live and whose rules you fly under, frequency is in the pilot manual on the P&M website, P&M or competent persons, P&M cost roughly £500.

Depends who you ask... It does use the word 'mandatory' in the POH, but the P&M advice was that it is 'recommended'. Love to see how that plays in the courts...

I was told at my last permit that is 3 years for a GT450? and that mine only just squeaked in!
But if P&M say its recommended not compulsory like the side wires then who is right?

Mandatory wing strip is 3 years or 300 hrs for a permit Quantum Q2

The Quik / GT450 / Quik R & GTR Mandatory wing strip is 4 Years or 500hrs which ever comes first!

You can do the wing strip yourself if competent, but would recommend Ian & Denise at Peninne flexwing services. Tel Ian 07903 413901 or Denise Tel: 07970 752356
