Tablet for use in a flexwing

Using an Asus 7 at the moment and the screen brightness is fab but looking to go for a 9-10in tab, wondering what others use and what the screen resolution is like, cheers

I changed from my 7 inch Samsung to my old Note4 phone. The tablet was on velcro just above the base tube / vertical dash board and hard to see when I had a map board across my knees. The Note4 is stuck between the key and oil pressure gauge and always in perfect sight.

    HI Dave

I'm going to airfield tonight. I use a 9.5 Samsung tab, ( running SD )which I will leave in my locker, you are most welcome to try it

I use a ram X-Grip mount and my Samsung galaxy phone. I use XC-soar which has the Irish airspace map overlay and it works quite well. Granted, the maps are not up to date but Irish airspace is a bit less crowded. It can also upload position data to the web and you appear as a yellow dot on the screen of anyone using the same software.

I have a 12 IPad Pro with SkyDemon attached to my leg with an elastic leg strap. Just bought an ipencil for it which works well when receiving joining instructions. The brightness is adjustable and I can get about 3 to 4 hours on a full charge, longer than I can sit down anyway!
