I'm not tempted. Firstly, it doesn't seem very likely to be compass compatible as it's magnetically mounted. Secondly, technological items which cost less than a tenner are usually worth zero.

A few years ago, I bought a very similar item (about 30 then) which worked for a few months, then needed manually rebooting every week or so until I gave up on it.
Mine came with a magnet attached. I removed it and fitted the device in the headlining of my van.
I have had about a 50% success rate with cheap tech items. I have a 10 go-pro copy camera on my bike, permanently wired as a dash-cam and works fine. A 7 boroscope camera works a treat with my laptop and would work with my phone if I wasn't such a Luddite. A 6 digital thermometer with two K-type probes checks out within a couple of degrees at boiling point and has been very useful around the workshop, as has a 4 luggage scale (used as the workshop load cell).
Some of these items had to be returned and replaced once or twice before I got a good one. I suspect that the business model uses the customers as quality control.

There are cheaper engines but the manufacturers are not prepared to take the risk because there is not the support for them and no one is prepared to invest in a support chain.

No one wants a 60k aircraft grounded for long periods of time because it came with a 8k saving on the engine costs.

Robbin at Skymonkey is researching and testing a Russian developed 800cc V-twin. No news on the website yet, but it's for a big paramotor trike. He's got a deal for Europe wide spares and support when it's finished. Who will join in?

    Sorry, we digress.
