Can you take your dog flying?

Is it legal to take your small dog with you?

I know several people who do, one of whom is a BMAA permit inspector.

In this country, if there's no law against it you can do it. Despite the fact that the Air Navigation Order starts with the words "An aircraft shall not fly unless..." I'm not aware of any dog-related prohibitions.

But what if the dog gets very upset at an inconvenient moment?

He sniffs out the 'dangly bits' in the aircraft's paperwork.
