Would you not consider a ram mount for the tablet, if not then www.flylight.co.uk supply a knee mapboard...

I would say that in any enclosed cockpit, a RAM mount or similar is the better bet.
The three most useless things in aviation:
    • The air above you.
    • The runway behind you.
    • The fuel in the bowser.

Rule #1: Always tie your aircraft to the largest heaviest object available. The planet Earth meets these requirements and is readily available in all locations.
Rule #2: The great thing about twin engined aircraft is, if one engine fails, the other engine always has just enough power to get you to the scene of the crash.

Semper specto in clara parte vitae.

Don't forget Velcro, it's much cheaper

Iíll take a look at those. I cannibalised an existing board with Velcro. Now falling apart, of course, given my dodgy engineering skills

As Gentreau said - ram-mount or similar is the best and practical solution. I'm using BRODIT (Swedish Company - on the left) for the tablet and ram-mount- X-GRIP (on the right) for the phone. I tested for 450 hours - they perform perfectly.

I would endorse the above, as I am using Ram-Mounts in a microlight and the Brodit on the car dash. Both quality products.

There's a huge range on the Ram-Mount site. Hard to believe you won't find something there to do the job, and do it very well.
