One of my nice memories is when a hangar mate made an outlanding in poor viz and landed amongst some milking cows only about 2 miles from the airfield - the small army which assembled to derig and then rig him back at base were perfectly happy to do so - so great everything turned out just fine in what could have been a spot of bother ... and something different to do with the afternoon! Apparently he was having a grand time taxiing through narrow gateways and mud as the trailer arrived. The network of friendly flyers is what I miss now I'm on the sidelines for the time being ... but thanks for the memories! (Anyone want a navigator anytime Calton Moor, that's my thing).
Whoever says money doesn't buy happiness doesn't know where to shop!
