    Looking for a project?

This interesting looking little aircraft has come up for sale

    http://www.afors.com/index.php?page=...d=15442&imid=0

As they say it is a possible SSDR or you can go for full permit, I wish I had the space and time

    Ginge,

I have spoken in detail with the Seller of the Chinook on the evening of Friday 26th March 2010 and am giving it some serious thought, not as a flying machine for myself though....... my thoughts were along the lines of what Andy R suggested........ I am wondering whether we should put together a Syndicate around this SSDR compliant Flying machine ?

The dimensions are : 140sqft or 13sqm Wing Area 35ft WINGSPAN 17ft 6 long FUSELAGE 5ft 10 high TO HIGHEST STRUCTURE

113kg EMPTY WT with 277 engine fitted....... THIS PROJECT DOESN'T CURRENTLY HAVE AN ENGINE

Pretty well ideal I'd have thought, but does anybody know the weight of a 227? It seems that it may need new wing skins, Chinooks are Canadian built arn't they? certainly
the 2 seat version seems to be not uncommon there so pukka skins could be available. Of course as an SSDR top Flight could make a set

The Chinook for sale has a spare set of Wing Skins so not a major worry for the buyer
