    Britain from the air.

Nicked unashamedly from the other forum but I think worth a post here as well.

I have been thinking about doing the same thing locally for awhile concentrating more on the smaller details like villages, farms and rivers etc. A worthwhile project for those local bimbling flights that we all do.

Frank, you may enjoy this, this album is the Ladysmith Battlefields and in particular Spioenkop which the kop end of Sheffield United, Birmingham City and Liverpool Anfield were named after. I couldn't fly over the trenches as it was kind of respect. This was one of the battles of the Relief of Ladysmith. Worth taking a look at the rest of the album where a few of us put this album together. My trike was CEW at the time and in several pics. A kind of South Africa from the air. Also the SA Microflight Africa magazine. Forgot to mention the Battle of Vaalkrans which was the origin of the famous Royal Naval "Gun Run" is also illustrated.

Some quality photos there, sometimes we forget that we have some fantastic beauty spots in this country, until you see them from the air that is.
