How many times do you fly from your base airfield per year?

How many times do you fly from your base airfield per year? only base airfield not others.

I was asked this question and I did not know the answer, who dose? So I just said 100s
Now I have been looking at my log book to see how many times I fly from my base airfield and in 2009 it was 49 times and in 2010 it was 39 times, (these are take offs or landings)I would consider myself a regular flyer but found these numbers very low from what I thought it might be, have a look at yours and post back thanks.

its not days its total take off per year.

In the past year I've done 57 take offs from Chatteris, (excluding touch and goes) out of 69 take offs. I've not flown to many other airfields yet, only 14 in total so far.
The best time to learn to fly was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.

    Hello Brian,

I don't fly locally, so when I take off I'm usually gone for the entire day visiting other airfields. I too was shocked when I checked my log book. I just counted total takeoffs from home airstrip, in 2009 my total was 29 takeoffs and in 2010 my total was 22 takeoff's.

Having checked back it was 13 in 2009 & 8 in 2010 !!!!! In fact in both those years I have actually landed at Eshott more times than my home field ( so perhaps I should now class Eshott as my home field )

127 take offs from Whitehill Farm in calendar year 2010.

Edited to add - I seldom have more than one take off from WFAeC per day. Total take offs that year 276
As of today I have a total of 2140 in Skyrangers

    Very few in 2010.
33 takeoffs so far in 2011.
The three most useless things in aviation:
    • The air above you.
    • The runway behind you.
    • The fuel in the bowser.

Rule #1: Always tie your aircraft to the largest heaviest object available. The planet Earth meets these requirements and is readily available in all locations.
Rule #2: The great thing about twin engined aircraft is, if one engine fails, the other engine always has just enough power to get you to the scene of the crash.

Semper specto in clara parte vitae.
