Videos can take up to 2 hours just to feed into the computer, then they have to be edited and this is a learning curve for most. The video then has to have a sound track added, maybe titles and the worst part wait for it to be uploaded onto the internet.
To video yourself flying could result in an accident as you need a lot of footage to make up a short edit, the keep rate is 1 minute out of 10. It will be safer to have the camera work done by your passenger, or mount the camera onto the aircraft.
Skyservants will be the video to beat, the only thing we could try and pull him on is that its not a microlight he is flying, I don't think it is as you cant do aerobatic maneuvers in a microlight....legally anyway

PS. was it not you as well Spear who wanted my first video entry in this section removed because it was too good also, whats that they say about the green eyed monster

Lol, sounds like your still a bit sore about that. I was completely wrong on that occasion , and was quite rightly corrected by all.

Your point about time and effort is absolutely spot on though, which is why I think the micro pilots amongst us who take the time to film, edit and publish a vid hardly stand a chance against someone who sticks his GoPro on a space shuttle!

Perhaps the rules need changing to say “publish owt tha wants”, that should clearly things up a little

I think maybe it should be microlights only as these gyro and aerobatic machines make it a little hard to compete with

Perhaps this months rule should be that

    a) it has to be a microlight
    b) it has to be a flexwing
c)it has to be a Quik
    c) you have to be IN your own video
    d) err... your name can't be Brian.
    e) In the event of a tie, the winner shall be the one with the White Quik and the Blue wing

    That should do it

Typical, now people get awards for just effort.

Clearly some favouritism going on here. When am I going to see an award Vince?
