what age does a microlight have to be to qualify for vintage status?

vintage is a word that would be used to describe what year the wine was made in , but because of English language, its now used generally to describe old things like cars and people, don't ask why. so think of the word to describe age and its used for anything over 1 year old, my car is 10 years old but I would not say it is not vintage.

vint = age and from old English but is a card game and a drug name for the boys of today, but In the late 1900's and early 2000's, vintage has become an adjective used as a powerful marketing tool to increase the implied value of an item and increase its profitability when sold.bris.jpg

I thought:

vintage was 20+ years old?
To be antique something has to be 100+ years old?

But still a good marking ploy for selling stuff, i.e. it's not a really old table it's an antique table. It's not an old 70s chair, but an retro/vintage chair

vintage just means year and could mean same year we are in and its all about wine, the word has been missed used like i said, maybe someone will post some time too soon or maybe next year with the reason why.

So is my 1986 built aircraft vintage or just old? Does it make it any more desirable as a "classic"? Would it be better to maybe rename this section? Something like - Old timers maybe? Vince any ideas?
