Hello Mark , please to remember that in Parly voo land ,as we have been told ,there are no inspections on microlights .log books ? true recorded hours? take a BMAA , insptector with you see what would be needed to bring it up to BMAA permit standard .( would hate to see you catch a very nasty cold ) have the sail betts tested 1,360 grams and stiching , also trailing edge weave if its light brown or dark brown 6 KG ,tested , before your very eyes ,Ex training machines are a NO NO ! as they will have taken a lot of punishment , first get to know as mutch as you can about the machine that you wish to purchase .Dont rush in !.... as an Angel once told me . oh will ther be any tax to pay on entry into the UK ? ive never had to change registration from one country to another ,sorry .so cannot help you on that one ,

    Hi Vicky
Yep I don’t disagree with anything you have said, I would be buying it from a friend of a friend (the instructor I used when in France) he has done any and all work on the GT and can provide a Permit before I pay any cash, so I know it’s been looked after as it lives in this guys hanger, and I got to have a good look around it before I returned to the UK.
We are at the early stages to see if we could agree a price but on first view he is asking far too much for it so we will see how it pans out, but one of the key points is to make sure I can bring it back to the UK and register it here or the deal would be dead before we get started.

Thanks for the comments tho Vicky

Andy Dixon looked into it some time back and ended up giving the aircraft in question (sounded cheap) a wide berth.

Financial nightmare....only cost affective if it's a labour of love....or you already own the thing.
If its been on u.k. Reg before it wasnt too bad,but in the end I just sold the Quik back to a Frenchman......counted myself Lucky I only lost a Grand after looking at it for over 12 months
