    There certainly seems to be a whole lot of skyrangers about that's for sure, What do you mean about the kitfox ? been looking at the eurofox 3 microlight version...

    Skyranger or Rans S6 is the best for that budget, personally I would get the Skyranger. Only problem is for that price a Skyranger will be Dacron, with skins maybe very soon due for replacement. Rans S6 is also Dacron covered.

    What was the outcome - did you buy anything?

    Thruster T600 (T or N) with Jab engine would tick the boxes in the OP.
    If you can't afford sexy, go for functional.

    Apparently, Jonesy at Galaxy has one for sale. I heard it was around 9.5k. Might be worth a call ?

    You can get a nice Rans for the 10k mark, a little more if fitted with a 912 or 2200.
