Hey Rossie,
I'm new to the forum, so I thought id say hello. Just wondered how this month panned out for you with the weather? Did you get up much?
Ryan
Just a 'rule of thumb' that I use to judge the wind:-
If you take your flexwing outside the hanger and you have difficulty/can't control it - put it back in the hanger!
The rule has served me well and once when I ignored it 'I wished I hadn't.

Hi Guys... Thanks for the advice. The only weekend I wasn't able to fly (last weekend) and the weather was superb! Argh! I'm sure you'll all tell me it works out that way sometimes. Anyhow, I'm booked in this weekend so fingers crossed.
Ryan - how is your flying going?
Hey Rossi,
Not started yet mate, just in the early stages of looking into it. I'm booking a trial flight tomorrow in a flex wing and see if its for me. I've flown Cessna's and Warriors's previously but I want to try the flex wing and experience the touch of the open sky. Hope the weather is good to you this weekend and you get up. It is frustrating when you cant fly!!!
What you hoping to do when you get your Licence? XC's or local jaunts? I was looking at the competition section which I think would be good to get into, would keep me on my toes to. Good luck this weekend
Hi Ryan
My only plans once I pass are to enjoy flying around Scotland... My ultimate dream would be to instruct flexwing but that's more of a five year plan I'd think. Once again, no flying this weekend but remaining hopeful for Saturday!
This Sat looks good according to XC....
Might get a lesson n myself![]()
