    Anyone intending to go for a short day trip out with name Reg and type

    Event Description Following the great success of our Open Day/Fly-In in 2008, City Airport Manchester (Formally Manchester Barton Aerodrome) invites you to join our Free Fly-In and Open day being held on

    Saturday 16th May 2009

    All aircraft types welcome. No landing fees to pay for non-based visiting aircraft.

    Attractions include (more to be announced):
    * BBQ and refreshments
    * Free Guided Tours of the Airport
    * GM Police Helicopter / North West Air Ambulance
    * Museum

    Avgas and JetA1 fuel available.
    We can accomodate camping on Friday and Saturday night for those wanting to arrive and stay over.

    Our website will have more information (and online PPR) nearer the time of the event.

    I have booked in to land at 1030 as they expect to be very busy from 1100 so prob start engines say 0945.
    Only issue might be wx which is threatening not to play ball with wind and rain

    Sounds fine to me if the Wx is Ok... Do they do food?

    Double the reason to go then.. PPR for 10.30 also aprox.. or they might run out of food !

    As the May do was a wash out due to weather (I was going, then I wasnt, then I was, then I didnt), the folks at City Airport Manchester (Barton to us) are hosting another similar event on the 19th Sept.
